We are Alex & Mikula, two photographers from Berlin.
WHO WE ARE
Alright, to be honest, we are not native „Berliners“. Alex grew up in Dillenburg and is living in Berlin for over ten years with his wife and children. Mikula came to Berlin in 2013 and was born and raised in Cologne.
We met during our photography studies at Lette-Verein Berlin and we already worked together on many different projects during our school years.
Afterwards we set up on our owns, started working as a photographer duo and founded 44INCH PRINTWORKS.
WHAT WE DO
We are working together as the photographer duo „MAIPLATZ FOTOGRAFIE“ and are mainly specialized in architecture, interior and landscape photography.
In spring of 2019 we were awarded with the “European Architecture Photography Prize” of the Bundesstiftung Baukultur for a project about the integration of playgrounds in the urban environment of Copenhagen. The photographs were exhibited at the German Architecture Museum (Deutschen Architektur Museum) in Frankfurt am Main.
